    It's exceedingly rare for the AR/AK pistols and long guns to be used in random crime, but they are more and more popular in competition elimination events and grudge settling. Sometimes business take over robbers, but a minority.

    I don't see much armor, either. What's becoming increasingly common is the Glock "switches". Metric **** ton of those out there now.
    I don't agree that the rifle caliber pistols are uncommon. Gangs love em.

    I heard somebody in the neighborhood mag dump one of those Glock switches a couple weeks ago. There's definitely a ton out there, and some sources claim they're a bit of a status symbol.

    The lack of armor is curious given how cheap and available it's gotten...then again I don't wear plates to work.
