12 bedrooms, 12 baths....even packing them in there that is not a lot of people to split $17.5 million with.

Maybe after the inspection report we'll find something to wager with and talk them down a couple hundred thou. :-)

Thing looks like a death trap to me unless you are hiding from fallout. Gasoline down the ventilation system followed by a road flare.

    Dirty Dozen style?

Most decently bunkers built to that size and with that $$$ kinda outlay, are going to have a air intake system that prevents liquids or grenades.

Saw that movie back when it was in the theater. Seriously though what sort of system could block gasoline fumes and still move enough air for a complex that size, not being a smartaas, just curious.

elbow with a mist sprayed across it.
gasoline goes into a sump in the elbow.
    fumes caught by the mist.
similar to what we use at the gas cleaner at work.
with that much $$, they could probably use a baghouse to further the cleaning effect.

sensors can detect the gas (liquid and gas), divert it.
Either stored air, or stored O2 while the vent system is cleaning.

Probably study the Vietnamese tunnel systems.
We'd try pumping in gases, liquids, explosives.

Then we ended up sending in a man with a knife.

Morgantown has one, but AT&T is now using it for a disaster response center. I've been in that location a few times over the years. There is another in the general area, but it is privately owned.

If you have that kind of money to buy a bunker like that you can have a large security team both outside and inside to protect it.

Nobody is going to just walk to the air intake and start messing up with it.

Your idea, and my idea both depend on how much $$ they devote to that.
Or did they waste all their $$ on creature comforts.

They wasted all their money on fertilizer. I mean each blade of grass appears to be about one story tall!

I wondered what the original purpose of the facility was - sounds like you're saying it was a bunker for telecommunications equipment. I read about the AT&T facilities and saw there was supposed to be one in Indiana. I'd love a tour of one in original condition.
