What I'm seeing in this poll, (and comparing it to previous polls) is that likely republican voters in Iowa are fickle, to say the least. Contrary to popular opinion the Iowa primary is not a very good indicator of the final vote.

In the Ames Straw Poll (Iowa) held in August, the leaders were:

    Bachmann 29%
    Paul 28%

The voters are fickle indeed. But Ron Paul has been a steady force. :yesway:
Bingo! We have a couple of winners here. I guess the whole point of this thread was maybe a bit to subtle. It was meant to be a satirical send up of the other "Meet the new GOP front runner thread". Hence the name of this thread "Meet the new...NEW GOP front runner."

I get the feeling that some people were under the impression that this thread was meant to be an endorsement of Newt Gingrich. :nono: tsk...tsk.

The voters are indeed fickle and the situation on the ground is ever changing, not to mention different polls taken in proximity to each other can often times show different results. One person used the Bloomberg poll to illustrate their point and I used the Rasmussen for my purpose.

In addition to fickle and biased (I'm learning a lot about human behavior on INGO!), people are myopically oriented.

    And what would Newt do?
Well lets see, he wouldn't throw the country to the ****ing Socialists, apologize to the entire world for what he believes are our evil ways, call us lazy, support the OWS cretins, bow to the leaders of nations that want to destroy us, or **** on us and tell us it's raining like the current POTUS is doing!! :dunno:

Thats debatable ... I couldnt see Newt doing anything different with already existing socialist programs, though i cant say for certain he wouldnt create any new ones. We ARE lazy. Im sure you would say George Bush Jr. wouldnt bow to leaders that want to destroy us ....Especially when he could just make out with em. Im sure Newt would do the same to secure oil contracts, or whatever reason Obama and Bush had to do those "things." [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QRhDzpJV2TM[/ame]

So out of those things, i would agree that Newt wouldnt support OWS, and that he may not tell the world sorry. Though i wouldnt put it past him to **** on us and tell us its raining.

As far as being lazy, you can speak for yourself but don't presume to speak for the rest of us! ;)
And it's uncertain that Newt would **** on us, but it's damn sure happening now and most of the country is fed up with it. :noway:

I'd rather seeing Obama for more years than this cheater.

    ------->Ron Paul 2012.

If Obama is reelected and a conservative Supreme Court justice retires/dies, well that's the end of The Republic as we know it.

We may get lucky and get Obamacare ruled unconstitutional (depends on Kennedy), but replace one conservative with another Obama pick and it's all over, second amendment rights as well.

The real power in this country rests with nine, unelected people with lifetime appointments. Which is why I'm going to hold my nose and vote for whoever ends up being the Republican candidate. And then hopefully if given the opportunity they nominate a Scalia instead of a Souter.

More like the end of the democracy as we know it.

We haven't been a Republic in any real sense of the word for about 100 years.

You do realize there doesn't have to be 9 justices right? There can be 8 or 7 or 6 or 100... Congress doesn't have to appoint a replacement judge if it doesn't want to.

It's long over due for us to stop caring what 5 lawyers in black dresses decide. They can't even decide upon "Self Evident Truths".

The Framers made the Supreme Court the third branch of government. We are free to disagree with their decisions, but if one truly supports the Constitution, he/she will abide by what SCOTUS decides. The rule of law is not always pleasant.

I'm not sure I understand what all the 'fuss' is about, with some of you. Altho I will say, I agree with the last few posts from 'patience' and from 'UncleMike'.......

I gotta tell you right now, none of this 'poll' cat crap...... means anything; yet. And Iowa has certainly been wrong before. Truly seems 2011 has been the "year of indecision" for those folks in Iowa. Just another sign that politics is evolving and it ain't "your Daddies election process" any longer.

The 'endorsements' Romney has gotten in NH don't mean crap, either. The new 'important' states in the primary process, are located right here in the Midwest,..... and in the South (southern east coast and deep south), as well as a few N'Western and S'Western states.

Calm down people. RICK PERRY is going to be the nominee at the RNC, and will be the next POTUS. No 'O' ......no problem. We can start the process of getting back to "being America" again. :patriot:

    * Oh, and do I give a **** whether Perry has to smooch an Arab to bring the price of oil down and save me BIG BUCKS on gas? Not at all....... smooch away, bud!

You may be forgetting, the smooching isnt whats bringing up or tanking the price at the pump. OPEC has next to nothing to do with how much we are paying for gas. Maybe more so with the actual contract(s).

And i personally dont believe Perry could beat Obama. Nor do i think he would necessarily be a better choice than Obama
