My dad has taught me a couple

1: Always carry a spare magazine
2: Never use your thumb as a fist pack
3: Treat every women as if she cooks for you
4: Giving a liberal common sense is like trying to make satan go to church.

Don't sweat the small stuff. You can't worry abut ants crawling on your toes when elephants are trying to stomp the sh*t out of you.

    Dad Stuff

Nice post My dad knew all this stuff but never taught it. Do as I say not as I do. The only exception was the tool thing. Buy good tools they pay for themselves the first time. Then they are free or you make money. So I figure the same goes for guns, buy a good gun. Or they way Joe the Veep puts it, buy a shotgun, buy a shotgun. But get a good one :):

A family friend, his dad and my granddad were friends and dad and Eddie had known each other since they were big enough to walk. He'd visit you when you were sick and he had a log splitter.

He died of cancer last year, though, and the world's a little dimmer for the loss.

    Sorry to hear that.

I figured he was a brother because you only say things like that about people you love.

No matter how big and bad you are, there is always someone bigger and badder.
Keep it in your pants until you are man enough to except all Consequences.
First time shame on you, second time shame on me, there wont be a third time.
    Buy once, cry once.

    Near the big river.
My Dad taught me more about being a man by how he lived than what he said.
    Hold others in high regard.
Family first. Be honest, even in small things.
    Work hard.
    Do not drink too excess.
