Sold. And in only 9 months...
Below is a list of all the noteworthy good and bad things about the car. The list looks like a lot, but I'm trying to be thorough. I'm including a link to ebay that has pictures of all these noted things.
This may violate the letter of the INGO law, but not the spirit, as the auction is closed.....Nudge me if that's out of line, mods.
Bottom line is that the car does not have any mechanical issues, does have a bunch of new and expensive parts, including the transmission, clutch, and struts. These parts make up the selling price.
Located in Muncie
1999 Mercury Cougar
5 Spd Manual transmission
116,714 miles
2.5L V6 Cylinder Gasoline Fuel
"
The car has several minor cosmetic issues, which I have attempted to represent in the pictures, but these are more than made up for by the car's mechanical condition.
First a list of the items pictured: (when possible, a dime has been placed in the shot for reference)
- Circular dent in hood
- 3" dent in forward edge of hood
- Chip above wheel well
- Rub marks on rear bumper
- Paint peeled back on runner forward of doors
- Light spill mark on passenger seat
- 2 wheels noticeably scratched
- Brake Pad warning light is on because the system is disconnected as it did not fit properly with after market wheels
- Check engine light is one for an O2 sensor. This has been like this for a long time. Error code: P1130 P1131. Bank 1, Sensor 1.
- Heating and air only blow on the highest setting (4). It functions as if it were off in 1,2, and 3.
- Passenger side window motor is weak
- Plastic trim on roof is discolored
- Light rust where driver door meet body of car
Now the good news, in no particular order:
- Lazer Red exterior
- Professionally rebuilt transmission at 110k miles (2010)
- New clutch installed at 110k miles (2010)
- Magnaflow exhaust
- Ingen Technology Cold Air Intake
- K&N air filter
- New alternator installed at 109k miles
- New front and rear struts installed ~110 miles (2010)
- Gunmetal colored 17" alloy spoked wheels
- Security lugnut per wheel
- Pioneer cd player model: SuperTuner IIID
- Wired for speakers and amp (visible in trunk view)
- Comes with replacement climate controls to make all the fan speeds work (not installed)
- New battery (2010)
- Blows very cold and very hot air
- Driver and passenger airbags
