I found this on the Youtubes a couple days ago. I thought the officer handled the situation well, and was very professional.

I like how he actually talked to them. He said they were free to go, they stayed. He offered to show them his M4, and he followed through. Didn't ask for anything unreasonable, and didn't ask them, or tell them, to not open carry like that. He just asked how long they'd be out, likely so that they didn't keep dispatching officers to talk to them.

Thinking about trying it here. Not sure I trust all SB cops, though.

SKS14: "Hey Warren, what are we doing here today?"

Warren: "Trying to find a way to take up all the time we're not spending on dates."

The interaction was OK. Office was very professional. But... I didn't see a pin for the full auto fire control group on the officers weapon.

Looks to be a standard semi auto AR-15 dressed with an Eotech, light and front grip.
NFA because of the sub 16" barrel.

Yeah. I get sick of guys trying to harass the cops. They have a job to do. Let them do it. As I said, he never asked for anything unreasonable.

I get carrying a camera, but when you have three guys with cameras trying to get a response, it's annoying. He could have called for backup, and made a scene, but he handled it by himself (with backup close by), and stayed calm and professional.

The video isn't good enough to see it clearly. How can you tell? I went back to look, it looks like it's there when he turns it over.

The exact opposite of most of the Leo interaction videos that get posted up on here. Very professional and that was a nice looking AR.

Very level headed cop. Those guys are tools for attempting to raise a negative response from any responding officer.

You might be right.. went back and watched it 3 more times.
I does look like the light hits a pin @ 11:02. could be FA
would surprise me if a regular patrol officer had a FA.

Officer was very professional in my opinion. One question, when caring a long rifle in public on your back, is it really safe to have it loaded? If it was slung in front of you that would be a different story but since it is on his back I feel that it would be way to easy for someone to come from behind and try and use the rifle.
