I have a Mini-14 SN 196-42xxx. I bought it about a year ago. It might have 30 rounds threw it. My cousin bought about 10 years ago and it and had accuracy issues that mostly were due to a cheap scope. The reticule was loose. I removed the scope & mounts and reinstalled the rear mount. I have a new scope base that will clear the rear sight. Enough about the piddly stuff.

I am looking at adding the Accu-Strut? And one have one that they can comment about. And if your going to just bash the Mini 14 for what it is just don't bother posting about it. I have a AR and bla bla and I love it to. But now I am tinkering with the Mini-14.

    Thanks for any info.

I have one, but I put it on a 581 series more for looks than function. I understand they do improve accuracy on pre-581 series rifles. +1 for perfect union forum when it comes to minis.
