Mini 14 Wood Handgaurd

While cleaning today i ran across something i didnt know i had or have ever seen.Anyone familiar with a wood handgaurd with the band type clip used on the garand or m14 on a mini14 handgaurd?

Buddy's old Ranch (when they first came out) had a wood upper, dunno if there were band variations.

It was on the early mini14's. If I remember correctly they were on 181- to 186- sn's.

my ss mini 14 has a wood hand guard its a 182 i think have to check

My old Mini 14 had the wood hand guard. They are quite rare to find now I think it makes them a little more valuable.

My 182 GB has a clip on wood handgaurd but this one has a band like a m14 or garand.
