mini .308 can?

I have been looking at the mini .556 cans and was thinking about getting a .308 can that I could also use on my .556 AR.

What is the smallest hearing safe .308 can that is adaptable to a .556 ar?

The AAC 7.62 SD looks and feels good on an AR. It is only a couple inches and a couple ounces more than say the AAC M4-2000. The Gemtech Sandstorm is crazy light and short for a .308 can too.

Ergo: can I use this can on a 7.62 X 39 ar upper?
