MIROKU JAPANESE WINCHESTERS?

I probably spelled Miroku wrong? My apologies if I did. My question is this. I am contemplating a Japanese Winchester 92 in 357mag. I guess my question is. Does anyone have one in 357 or any other caliber? Are they quality? What are anyone's experience with them? I appreciate any input. Thank you.

They are well built rifles. The screws are all metric and us made winchester parts won't fit. I believe they added a safety as well.

I recently bought a Miroku Winchester 1886 in .45-70 and the gun is meticulously put together! Wood to Steel fitment and finish are exemplary. The action is smooth and the gun is as accurate as all get out. Buy the gun you are wanting and you will not regret it.

It's funny. From a country that it is practically impossible to own your own gun, comes a well made rifle. They have a good reputation, I do know that much.

The only Japanese gun I own is a Type 99, early Nagoya manufacture, from late 1941/early 1942. It is chambered in 7.7x58mm Arisaka.

I have one in .44 Magnum. When I bought it, the seller said it was "stupid accurate" and I have to agree. Mine likes Hornady 225 grain FTX Leverevolution. Since these are a little longer than most .44 Magnum, the magazine holds only nine rounds. I would recommend you try the Hornady 140 grain FTX Leverevolution.

Miroku is known for making fine quality firearms. They make some guns for Browning such as the Citori.

Winchester 52 reproductions, some with the Browning brand on them are fine rifles and the little take-down Browning semi-auto the same. Miroku does nice work.

I have mostly shot Federal American Eagle 158gr flat nosed soft point.

I have an 1886 in 45-70 and a 44 Mag 92. Very high quality.

Had to replace the loading gate on the 92. Bought a Winchester replacement and it was a perfect fit.

Had the Model 71 in 348 for 10 years. It was a hoot. Again, very high quality.

Got offered an outrageous amount for it and sold it. I had my fun with it.

No. Winchester produced the 1892 from 1892 to 1945. Calibers were .25-20 32-20 38-40 44-40 and near the end of production added .218 Bee.

I have a Winchester 92 that was professionally converted years ago to .357. It is a really cool gun.

No...but starting in about 1950 gunsmith's began converting them to .357 in droves....

My daughter and I have been abusing our 1873's for many years shooting Cowboy. Never a hickup. We see the occasional 92 as well. VERY well built guns.
