We are not the dem's who support their walking dead, just for a vote.

We need this guy replaced ASAP.

We need to set the standard, rather than following theirs.
how does KY work? If they have a D governor can he easily slide in a D senator to replace or is there more friction to it?

In 2021, the Republican-run Kentucky legislature voted to introduce a law that changes how the state would fill a vacant Senate seat in the case of death, illness, or any other reason for early departure. Previously, Kentucky's governor was able to choose who would fill the position from any political party. In this case, the decision would have been made by Democrat Gov. Andy Beshear.

However, following the passing of Senate Bill 228, the Kentucky governor would now have to pick a successor from the same party as the departed senator. This would be from a list of three names provided by the executive committee of the departing senator's state party.

I’m not sure what “we” can do about that. It’s up to KY who they elect as Senator.

As much as I am not a fan, I do not wish the man ill will. With that being said, he has overstayed his welcome.

Another poster child for term limits. It's time to clean house.

I think someone could run solely on the need for term limits for congress.

    1. 6x2yr terms for the House and 2x6yr terms for the Senate total for life. If you are already exceding these limits, you must retire at the end of your current term.

    2. For at least 10 years, you cannot come back as a lobbyist after serving. You cannot serve on any boards of any companies doing business with the government.

    3. You cannot trade in any stocks, etc. with any companies doing business with the government while you serve your term or for 5 years after leaving. If you do, it's grounds for immediate removal from Congress.

    Just sayin... :ingo:
