like the title says, I opened my safe and found some mold, not black mold, but rather white powder like mold, it appears just on the wood of old military rifles, 3 to be exact, right away I whiped them with bleach and haven't put them back in the safe, has any one else had this happen and what should I do in future to avoid this problem,

If it is really mold (not doubting you, but don't want to give bad advice) then humidity has got to be your biggest issue. Get a couple rechargeable desiccant canisters and/or a tub of Damp-Rid in there. Put a hygrometer in first for a couple days to confirm it is a humidity problem.

Get you one of these from WalMart an stick it in your safe, or something along these lines. I change it out about every 6 months they run less than 8 bucks. No moisture problems at all after that.
