I'm curious how they would react by playing it all the way through.
Open carry but show up with a button up (unbuttoned) covering it. It's fall so you could be cold. How about a rainbow t-shirt to blend a bit. Can you speak with a lisp? Let them give you a sign to hold or whatever. Be completely cool and make some friends. Continue to parade with them for a while then at some opportune photo op moment, lose the cover.

When they question you just explain that you're there to protect them from those bad guys with guns. No worries...... but keep chanting with them and hold your sign high and proud. This alone will confuse the **** out of them and you might actually get some heads to explode.

You do have friends to take some long distance video right?
