Thank you for your e-mail and for taking the time to contact me. I will never support gun control in any form. Crime control, yes. Gun control, absolutely not. The Second Amendment is clear to me. It should be clear to everyone in this country, but I know that it is not. There is not, and never will be, a silver bullet gun law that will stop crime, and my focus is on criminal activity not on a machined piece of steel.

Thank you again for taking the time to reach out to me. Should you have questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to me.

    Sincerely,

    Jim Tomes
    Indiana State Senator
    District 49

Smartest thing I’ve ever heard a politician say.

Great reply, nice to know who is really an American.

As for money-bombing the NRA, I bet CNN had a major cow reporting this:

    https://www.cnn.com/2018/03/28/us/nra-donations-spike-parkland-shooting-trnd/index.html

    Donations tripled!

I hate these robotic voice videos, but this one is short.

When you consider the population of the US is nearly 326 million, it doesn't look as good. Roughly 1/4 of that are juveniles, though.

There could be always be more members, but being able to say that that many people are behind you is quite an accomplishment. Humans can't agree on much, let alone that many of them.

    Love it! Great job guys!

And most of the donations made in March came from non-corporate donors: "$1.9 million of the $2.4 million total, came from small donors who gave less than $200,"

According to that write up, the $2.4m was just to the Political Victory Fund so the total take would be much higher.

    So PVF got 2.4 M
Ila is not required to report
NRA is not required to report
NRA gained .5 M members at $30-$40 depending on discount offered and maybe 2-3% of those were life at $600 - $1000 and I know a few probably went to benefactor patriot or other

That is a big chunk of change.

Everytown nd Giffords org was only about $400k combined.
Celebrities donated about 3.5 million for the March. That was burnt up by paying protesters and flying in yutes to protest. They didn't spend their money very wisely since they claimed they were going to use the money for politicians who would promise to fight the NRA. Watts & Gabbie raised around 150K to fund political campaigns. Pretty weak.

I corrected my original post on the Everytown and Gifford groups. Just reposting in case anyone missed it.
