This scares the **** out of me. If anyone has read State of Fear by Michael Crighton and/or have read about the history of the mess-ups at Yellowstone on your own this will scare you too. We are not smart enough to understand all of the secondary and tertiary effects some of these things would have. They wouldn't be able to be reversed, and we could be in serious trouble. This **** has to stop before it ever gets started.

If we dump tons and tons of iron fillings into the ocean...then decide it was stupid are we going to go swish around a big magnet? There is no end to these people's idiotic methods to generate funding.

Agreed. When I was a bit younger these environmental wacko scientists were warning of the coming ice age due to man caused global cooling. They were looking at ways to warm the earth. What if those had been done (assuming you buy into the global warming) compounding global warming.

The sulphur in the atmosphere thing scares me to death. The iron in the ocean looks like a nightmare and shooting millions of sunshades is expensive looking and sounds like something from the Animatrix. When are we going to learn NOT to screw with the environment, that is what got us into this trouble in the first place!

You can really smell the money on these projects, a niagra of federal cash with absolutly no accountability. People are probably standing in line to talk to the dc lobby firms to get a piece of this action.
