Oh please. We don't find many and meet people who say you shoulda been here yesterday, or at that other place. Besides, a ton of morels will kill you or @ least give you gas..In this I'm here to help you.

Ya me and fullmetaljesus found so many in one spot last year we did not have the means to harvest them all and then hike out for 3miles.

Yeap I use the budding of the maples. I get the grey then and the bigger ones come a few days later.

I did not know that. But I am still new at mushroom hunting.

I will look early, but in central Johnson co. around April 10 th the gray's start showing up. When the Lilac bloom the big yellows are up.

I usually wait until the mayapples are about a foot tall then hunt them down , we dehyrated everything last year and have been eating on them all year

What caliber do you guys use for the shrooms? I took my 12g out last year shooting 00. Wasn't much left for cleaning and cooking.
