I picked up a really nice 91/59 at the Lafayette show Sat. Hex receiver, MO marked. I can't remember everything but it is in like new condition, bolt crown and finish. All numbers match.
I was wondering what is the significance of the MO markings?

    MO Marked Hex Receiver 91/59

Thank you, that site has a bunch of needed info. I found out that the Hex receiver with the MO is somewhat uncommon.
I will get some pictures this evening. Heck I may have gotten lucky and gotten a desirable collector piece.

A Hex-receivered 91/59 with MO marking in excellent shape is pretty much as good as it gets with a 91/59. Congrats. I wouldn't call it a true collector's gun as it is a refurb, but don't let someone talk you out of it for cheap. That one I would still shoot, but I wouldn't shoot corrosive ammo in it. I have one and it is my most accurate Mosin carbine.

    How much?
