If it is a Russian M44 it is over priced unless it is dated 1943 (only 50,000 1943 Russian M44s). The Polish made M44s run from $200 to $300. The Hungarian and Romanian M44s also sell for more than the Russian M44s.

I was wandering around Warsaw yesterday looking for a Mosin in good shape to take home with me. I hit every shop in town, including Dunhams, and only saw 4 Mosins. Dunham's had 2 91/30s for $165 /ea, Little Hawks had a 59 in bad shape for around $150, and Eagle Creek had an 1953 M44 in fantastic shape, but they wanted $225 for it. Now I wish I could have made it to the Indy1500 last weekend.

There weren't a whole lot down here at the show, either...

Not that I was specifically looking for them, but I didn't notice many, either.

There were some... not as many as I might have expected but I did see one table in particular with M44's and a couple of M38's.

I was specifically looking for cheap Mosins at the 1500. There was exactly one 91/30 running $89. EVERYTHING else was $150+, even for the beat-up stuff.

ditto.... but lemme guess, they also have Yugo SKS's for the low price of $300-$350?

    no thanks...

    Hey,

I know where you can get a Yugo SKS for a little more than that. But it comes with about $150 in extras.......:D
