    I just purchased my first Mosin this weekend. I have no idea why folks say they "kick like a mule". If you think the recoil is bad on a Mosin you should go out and shoot a 3.5 inch turkey load or slug out of a 12 gauge pump.

    I picked one up this last Saturday, ammo showed up yesterday. With luck I'll be able to take it out this coming Sunday.

    For the price, what it is, and a chance to own a bit of history, I'm happy thus far.

    Yes you should,they are ugly,heavy,and ugly,but as problem free as a hammer.If you don't like it you can use it for a fencepost,flagpole,hatrack,any other suggestions?:D
