I have a Mossberg 500 with an 18.5 inch barrel. Mounted flashlight and extra shot she'll carrier. I use this as my primary home defense weapon.

My question is; any advantage in converting my current set up to a Bullpup setup?

Whether your answer is yes or no, can you tell me why you would or would not do it.

The conversion kit is $300.00 and that is a steep price for something that may not do anything except make a 500 "Tactical Cool".

Which conversion are you looking at?

Mossberg has had a factory Bullpup for many years now. It's a bit stiff and SpaceCop looking but it gets the job done.

I've been looking at those conversion kits for a while now. They definitely look cool, but I imagine they would be difficult to clean with having to take it all apart. That plus I have trouble justifying spending $300+ on a conversion kit for a $300 gun.
