Mossberg 500 Sights

So I just bought my boys a youth 500 today. How do you rate the factory Iron Sights? The maximum range this year will be 40 yards. Is there a decent upgraded to these sights that you have experience with? Thank you

I put one of these on my Mossberg 500 and have been quite happy with it.

I installed a "clip on" type shotgun sight, with a green Hi Viz tube, on my Home Defense Moss 500. Lined up with the bead sight, and does offer a clear picture view. In semi low(cloudy), or small bit of sun seems to help. I also added one to my H&R Single 12ga, and works well for a field gun. I thought they were a little flimsy on first inspection, but for $20, they were okay. I added a drop of clear silicone on the H&R just to make sure it didn't loosen up, but not an issue after 2-3 yrs mounted now.
Check Ebay, mine came from there.

Maybe its not a typo? Maybe he is being clever and showing us EXACTLY what he added to his, meaning absolutely nothing?

Bead sight works well enough but I put on an XS big dot front sight to improve visibility. I like it so far.
