Mossberg Patriot Night Train?

Anyone have some personal insight? I am looking for a new mid range rifle, and these have peeked my interest. I must admit I am a Mossberg fan.

I have a Remington, looking for a new toy/project. So I ask again, anyone have hands on experience with this rifle?

I have a Mossberg 100 ATR in 243 I'm happy with for the price.

The Patriot action is same basic design just fluted bolt and different handle, changed the stocks and reduced overall weight.

Just me, I'd get a real gun instead of plastic. But hey, I know I'm an old guy and hopelessly out of date.

I haven't seen any of the Patriot night trains. But personally, I wouldn't buy a night train... Cheap gun, cheap scope. I believe a Ruger or some Remingtons would be much better in that price range. I worked at a gun store for a while and we had a night train there before I started and after I left. Probably still there! No one wanted anything to do with it.
