    Most versatile handgun?

Not saying its the perfect gun for everyone, but I was thinking about how versatile the Glock 27 could be.
Now, from my count, it can shoot 3 calibers and 12 sets of magazines.
I don't know of any other firearm that you can do that with!

    With Factory barrel:
    • Glock 27 magazines
    • Glock 23 magazines
    • Glock 22 magazines
    • Hi cap magazines
    With 9mm barrel:
    • Glock 26 mags
    • Glock 19 mags
    • Glock 17 mags
    • Glock 18 mags
    With 357 Sig barrel:
    • Glock 39 mags
    • Glock 38 mags
    • Glock 37 mags
    • Hi cap mags
What are your thoughts? Most versatile? Doesn't matter to you? Pretty cool!

Voted don't care, would have voted bacon. I never was a G27 fan. I do have a Gen3 G23 with a 9mm conversion. It would be my end of the world handgun of choice. I just think the larger G19/23 is easier to shoot them the subcompacts.

Yea I agree the 23 or my 17 would be my pick if we were at the end! LOL,

The 10mm and .45 ACP Glocks can be converted to each other's caliber, 9x25 Dillon, .38 Super, .400 Corbon, .40 Super, .357 SIG, .40 S&W, and 9x19. That's just with Lone Wolf bbls. There's also .50 GI and .460 Rowland from their respective manufacturers. A ramped bbl cut frame 1911 can handle everything listed except .50 GI without frame modification.

    The P&R Medusa?

The T/C Contender? What over 50 calibers?

The Ruger Blackhawk with the .357 & 9mm cylinders?

I would just say anything that is a .357 with a 4" barrel. Who cares about more calibers?

Personal defense? No better "stopper" and at 4", can be carried easily.
    Hunting? Up to deer-sized game (try that with a 9mm, .40 or .357 SIG...no wait, don't)
    Plinking? .38 special anyone?

Glocks don't do it for me and I don't know any pistol that I would call most versatile. I carry revolvers most of the time and even among them I don't think of any one most versatile. If I had to choose I would opt for a Ruger just because I love them as a brand. :)

smith govenor, 3 different calibers NO magazines to mess with!

    410,45 colt,45 acp,

hell any combo of calibers WITHOUT taking the gun apart...try that with your fancy tuperware!, plus its a helluva lot cheaper than buying all those mags and barrels!

This ^^^ all day long, every day! I'll never give up my semi autos, but find myself leaving them in the range bag and shooting my wheel guns more often than not. My two current favorites, a NM 66-8 and a GP100 Match Champion, will someday be inherited by my grandkids. If I have to pick one, it's the Match Champion.

does anyone know that feeling you get in the morning before you've had your first cup of coffee? Let's say you've actually been up for a while and you've been busy. you've forgotten to pour yourself that first cup...and then...there it is that magical, practically iridescent Kopi Luwak coffee aroma hits your nose and you crave that first sip. anyone?

    this thread smells like a 4" .357 S&W
