    I think they're pretty good.
    Wouldn't want to live off them. But good for a temporary situation.
    I usually have a few food bars in addition set aside.
    Mountain House needs hot water, and you may not have that available if you're scooting.

    We have used plenty of mountain house products and like them all(season to taste).
    I will add something to your thought about needing hot water.You do not really.Hot water will make the prep time around 5 minutes for everything to rehydrate,but cold water will get the job done in around an hour.So as long as you have water you should be good to go with mountain house.
