I watched this the other night. Kind of a SHTF movie that doesn't dwell too much on the event itself. Basically Earth is invaded, creatures hunt humans by sound. You must be verwy verwy quiet.
Story centers around a family. John Krasinski from "the Office" and "13 Hours: The secret soldiers of Benghazi" plays the father, Emily Blunt plays his wife - a real stretch, kids I don't know. Decent performances though I expected a little more emoting from Krasinski at a few points.
What bothered me though, letting go really minor stuff, was the corn. They are living on a farm outside a small town. There is a good 100-150 acres of corn planted around them. Very early on the date is given as something like "Day 423" so more than a year since the invasion. Yet a field clearly planted by machine is matured and a month or two from harvest. The hoosier in me could not let this go.
