MOVIE QUOTE DISPUTE: The Rock

I'm going to assume most of you have seen 'The Rock." True or False when they "...greenlight the SEAL incursion" it is in fact...

"greenlight THE SEAL incursion"...

not

"greenlight TO SEAL incursion"

This has been a huge debate between me and a friend for some time.

What do you think?

If "greenlight" is being used as a verb, "to" makes no sense in that context. If they are talking about giving the green light, then "to" would be correct.

But more importantly, if this is what you and your friend have "huge debates" over, you both are in serious need of a life.

Don't get me wrong, the action is cool, but there's a lot wrong with it.
