The only time I have had an issue is when I was in Louisiana, after visiting a theater several times while OC'ing during the week I figured they didn't have a problem but I went to see a weekend showing while they have PD picking up extra security shifts and hit a little glitch. +1 to Louisiana PD the guy was polite and professional he just stated that he knows I am legally carrying but the management of this establishment has a no firearms policy, he then escorted me to my car and ensured I locked up the pistol we walked back in side and he told me to enjoy the movie.

Yea. I do love movie theater popcorn though and have never been able to replicate it outside of one.

That is the only reason I sometimes still go to a theater is for the Popcorn
Otherwise I usually wait until it is released to rent. It costs my family about $50 to go see a movie and get popcorn and snacks. TOO EXPENSIVE to go regularly, it cuts into my ammo fund.

Hardly go to theaters, went to see Man of Steel 4 times and CC'ed. ****, I think I was even printing wearing my Man of Steel shirt since it was body fit, but no one complained while my friends and I were in line at showplace 12.

I like movies. There, I said it. When there is a movie I really want to see, I just make SURE my owb holstered gun is not showing.

I do go to the theater occasionally, but for the sake of argument allow me to point out that HD projectors are increasingly affordable. Couple one with a decent screen, a receiver, and surround sound, and you'll have nearly the theater experience without the nuisance of other patrons or overpriced, stale snacks.

I dont recall the celebrity, but several years ago he pointed out something. At the current rate of tickets, a family of 4 could spend something like 2500 for a big screen tv and surround sound system and break even within 12-18 months! If you figure 4 tickets at $20, plus about $10 per for snacks, it adds up REAL fast.

$100-150 for a movie theater style popcorn popper. At probably $10 per visit for your entire family, it pays for itself real quick. Just sayin.

Except for the popcorn popper, this is EXACTLY what my family does. Ive been to the movies TWICE in the past 7 years. I only go when its something that HAS to be seen on the big screen like an actual, true IMAX (not the regular ones shown on the bigger screen) or something cool like Act of Valor.

Showplace 16 up here has a prorated movie fee. Any show before noon is only $4! After 12 until about 3 or 4 the price is $6. After that it goes to $8. The lesson here? If there is a movie you REALLY want to see, get up and out before noon.
