I dont recall if it was Jaws or one of the Dirty Harry (or just Clint) movies. A guy was drilling out JHPs to make the hole bigger, filling the void with mercury, and sealing it with wax.

Yep that was it in jaws. He just filled the hollow points with mercury. No reloading. Been so long since I seen it I thought he reloaded them. He didn't though.
