Looking at getting an AR for no reason than to just get one. What should your basic optics ready MP-15 run??? I have seen anywhere from $850 to $1000. Why such a broad range?

I bought my MP 15 at a gun show paid $649 and the threw in the taxes. It shoots great and have had no problems with it. Ar's are in high demand. I found most of the price difference was due to rather they came optics ready or had iron sights.

Find a MP15 on gunbroker (I know but I actually got a good deal...surprisingly, it was cheaper than Buds). Have optics and buis on the way. Thanks for the help ingo.

Which M&P15 did you get? There are several models. Did you get the Optics Ready or another model?

I have a MP15T, great gun without any problem so far after thousands of rounds. Just keep it clean and be ready for 2012, huh?

M&P I heard is a great rifle. I have a Bushmaster, not too bad, especially since I do not run it much or run it hard, but in hindsight, I wish I had waited and gotten a different brand.
As another stated, they are the legos for adults, and I have added a couple toys on mine as well. If I do decide to get another quality AR, I will be switching most of those over to the new rifle. Quad rail, optics and foregrip.
