Yep getting to the start line often requires more courage than getting to the finish line. I watched a friend do one of those mud races in May... She had a blast but I don't think it's something I'd enjoy.

I started my half marathon training program this morning. Got plantar fasciitis training for a full last year and am really just now getting back in running more than twice a week.

That looks like soooo much fun! I used to do triathlons but once I got on my Mt. bike and did trails with some guys that knew what they were doing I couldn't get myself to put the hours in on a road bike ever again. The Mud races and tough mudder style stuff looks like something I could get back into. I would anticipate I would float higher in the mud than I did in the water.

If I buy the pics taken by their photographers I'll post online. I was fully submerged several times and didn't think to have a waterproof camera. I am going to buy a GoPro helmet can this summer which would have been perfect
