    Hey Allen, I know this wouldn't be your usual cup of tea, but this my brother's Remington 700ML rifle. He SWORE the barrel was clean, but evidently his idea of clean is not my idea of clean. Here is a picture of the muzzle:

    and yes, it is corroded as all hell. Sigh. The bore looks pretty much like this all the way back
    to the breech plug end of the barrel.
    Would you be willing to either shorten the barrel or replace the barrel? Personally I don't think
    it's worth doing either, but I told him I'd ask around.
