    I just wanted to throw this up. Mainly because I think this turned out pretty well. This gun is a 1968 Winchester Model 94 30-30. It was given to me by my dad 25 years ago. My 11 year old son took his first deer with it this year, and it will soon be his. Before I give it to him, I wanted to refinish the stock. This is the result. I used a Minwax Red Chestnut stain and a satin poly topcoat. I don't have a pic of the rifle before only the stock. Here it is:

    Looks great. I hope your son took that deer with it in another state.
    Of course. His grandpa took him out for a youth hunt in MI. Unfortunately I had to work. So my dad had the honor of being with him for his first. I got called the minute she hit the ground. Got a nice little video of it too. :cool:
