My album is locked up

trying to upload a picture to use in a post.
I guess it was too big (what is max file size?)
Now I cant do anything in/to my album, I even tried to delete the album and make a new one. When I click on the upload images tab, instead of the page where you fill in the list of images, I just get a " Image exceeds the limit" message, even though I haven't selected an image yet, which I cant seem to get rid of.
HELP!

There are band width limits in you album from my experiences. If you are full up then no, you are not going to put anything else in there. If that is not the case then there could be other problems beyond my pay grade.
I will run this up the ladder to the boss.

Actually, at this point, my album is empty, and still get the error.
