I was not a fan of the grip, or the sheath the way it was so I had to change it.

Paracord wrapping so the knife can be mounted at the small of the back.

The handle also felt a tad slippery, so but no longer with some more paracord.

I hand sharpened the blade when I got it.

Did you cut the handle down or just wrap around it? I like the orange/black look.

i didn't do anything to handle but wrap around it, which is fine for me since i have large hands, but its a huge grip to begin with. If you have smaller hands you may want to grind the handle down a tad before wrapping it.

Looks good. I tried that but it still did not have the bite I wanted. I ended up crosshatching it with my chain saw file. The nuts will need loctite also. The sheath attachment is crap. I replaced it with a Blade-Tech Tek-loc and removed one rivet for an easier pull from the sheath.

If I remember I will take some tonight. It is solid and allows you to remove the knife one handed, especially after removing the top rivet on the blade side.

What were you cooking sailor? That's an interesting setup. Knifes looks great BTW

That was a good batch of Meth. No just kidding it was maple syrup. There is another thread on it here. The BK-2 was great for splitting the 3-4 in logs that are hard to do with a maul. Pics of the sheath. Bottom left rivet drilled out.

I saw that thread. Looks like fun. I really want to try that someday. I am going to pick up an esee from the knife lady this weekend looking forward to chopping wood with a knife also.

If you want more grip with the handles, consider having the grips sand-blasted with coarse sand. I've seen results that greatly improved slippery grips.

Have you seen a kingspin knot? I might try that knot on one of mine and see how it looks.
