Just picked up this Colt's Government Model .22!!!

Won't be able to shoot it til next weekend, but I am digging it so far! I know it's made by Walther, but still damn nice in my eyes!

Nice, I love shooting my conversion kits on my Glocks. Even in the current climate of ammo availability, I can shoot a lot more 22 than centerfire on my budget.

I've shot a friends and the accuracy was impressive. I'm eventually gonna pick one of those up. Not even enough recoil to make your sights bobble! Very fun plinker

.22 will always be my favorite. I bought this with the plan of buying a .45 1911 next year. Been thinning the collection down and bought this with the results!

I have a couple colt 1911's, I don't carry them often. Except to the range! Seems like having 1 in a .22 for extra practice is a no brainer. I'll be looking forward to a range report.

Congrats! Just be warned: COLT'S ARE CONTAGIOUS!! Once you get one, you want more... I foresee a .45 ACP Colt 1911 in your future.

Congratulations! In my opinion Colts make great firearms. My EDC is a Colt Double Eagle 45, I also have 2 Colt revolvers, an Anaconda 44 Mag and a King Cobra .357 Mag. All mine are the stainless versions.

I wouldn't mind having a conversion kit. Just seems like a complete gun is comparable in price. I don't have either at the moment but I've shot the gsg and colt. Liked them both. Almost bought the kimber conversion kit awhile back. But if I didn't already have a 1911 the complete gun seems like a logical choice.

I have 45acp guns and my view is like this:
Why pay that much for something that temporarily alters one toy some of the time...when for a few bucks more you can get a whole 'nother toy? More is always better. ;)

It is definitely the first in my stable! I have been working on thinning out my collection a bit, and going for quality over quantity. The gun was "free" to me! Sold a few others and used those funds!

A Colt 1911 A1 or Government Model 70 or 80 is on my short list, top 10 for sure. Though I am wanting to get an AR-15 I think. Still looking for an older .30-30 bolt action. Should be getting my Winchester 1894 back soon, having some work done on it. When I get that I might take this ,and see about having the trigger skeletonized!

Was just looking at the magazine that came with the gun, and the spare that I bought to go with it. It looks like they are serial numbered as well. The one that came with the gun is stamped #3, and the other is in the 12k range. I tried looking up the serial number on the Colt Website, but to no avail, anyone know where I can get a date range when the pistol was manufactured?
