This was my first handgun that I got for a present from my dad when I was 10 or 12, don't remember exactly but back in the early 70's.. I made the case in my high school shop class. Bet you can't do that today.
I did get an A on it since my teacher was a shooter and a hunter too.

It is a Savage model 101 single shot .22.

I was cleaning my guns and this brought back some memories of good times past....just thought I would share.:):

You got an A on it because it was a job well done ! And the Savage 101 is a very nice gun. These deserve to be kept together and passed down.

    Nice case and gun!
Makes me wonder if you would be allowed to put any kind of Indian head on a school shop project these days. I would be willing to bet that some states and school districts would not allow it.

I have one of the old copper projects of a Colt .45 from junior high school. The ones where you place a sheet of soft copper over a mold and impress it into the mold. Remove the sheet and blacken it with some sort of sulphur smelling liquid. I guaranty that would be politically incorrect these days.
