I've always bought something inexpensive that lasts until I lose it or destroy the edge.

I finally sprung for a quality knife - a real value.

I picked up this Mora hunting knife. I'm VERY impressed with the edge and quality. VERY impressed. No more cheap knives for me! :rockwoot:

I as well am impressed with Mora knives. I wanted to get some wooden handles for the 1500 but I was too late in putting in my order.:(

Congrats on your new knife. :rockwoot:

im not gonna lie but my hunting knife is one of the baer grylls fixed blade survival knives. It does have a weird reputation behind it but this thing is a beast. Its amazingly sharp out of the package, I love the hard sheith. Being blaze orange helps when its dark out to find it. Having a full tang means you can use it as a hammer. I can chop down sapplings an inch thick in seconds to make a small "blind" for turkey hunting. Smaller knives might be better or delicate work skinning and that sort of thing but I love this knife. Best hunting knife Ive had.
