Front, back, Sides, hell run it as a drop leg. Just so you can reach it with both hands equally well to deploy... I personally despise having it on my front. I am a slimmer person so I do not carry some of the MOLLE landscape that some of you carry. So my front and sides are precious, places of real estate...

Be careful putting it on your back, make sure you can reach it. While its great for others to get to, its often hard to put your arms back there, and grab what you need instead of spilling everything out into the dirt. Just my two cents though

I am working up a drawing to send out right now, for a behind the back slide out unit. I should have it out to by weds morning to have the first prototype built...
