My latest gun project

I just won the bid on an old single shot 12 ga. that needs a new stock.

I have some nice pieces of maple on the wood pile that I am going to try to carve something out of. I have not yet decided if I am going with a shoulder stock or just a nub of a pistol grip. Sort of like this...

Yup! I'm guessing that barrel is not too much longer than 18" so if I go with the nub, it will need to be sort of long. 6" or 8" maybe

I finally picked up the gun and quickly rigged a make shift pistol grip with a piece of a foam swim floaty noodle and duct tape. It shoots real nice!

Total cost of the project so far $69.55 plus duct tape!
