Last week I noticed the front sight had shifted to the left on my M&P9c.
So Friday night, I took it to the closest gun shop and had them center the sight. They also put some blue loc-tite on it.

The gun sat in the safe until Sunday evening, when I took it out and put around 250 rounds thru it. At first the shots were pretty centered on the target. Toward the end they were drifting, assumed I was tired, and quit.

I brought it home, and noticed the sight had shifted to the left again.

    What the heck!?

I have Meprolights night sights on the gun. I dunno if the front sight is just too small or what.

    What do you guys suggest?

    Really?

How difficult would it be to replace/move the sight later on?

    Yaaaa Reelly

You don't have to use a 9 lb sledge to beat in the spot use a little finesse and do it OR move the sight over then put a pretty good dimple in the center of the slide and then tap it over you can do it and it not look bad

I would contact MeProlight to see if you have an out of spec sight. Maybe they will swap you out with the correct size, or even an oversized version that you can fit yourself.

I had this problem with some Williams sights on a 10/22. Gave them a call, couple of measurements with my micrometer, and had the new ones in the mail box a couple of days later free of charge.

Locktight, peening the edges of the dovetail down, dot punch (staking punch), all ways of doing it.

Fitting it correctly in the first place..... priceless.

who installed the sights for you? perhaps you should take it back to them?
