Here is my new AR. Decided to give it a touch of retro styling, well kinda. Standard midlength flat top wearing a Type E surplus A1 stock, and new A2 grip and commercial M4 style hand guards. She's wearing a surplus carry handle sight for now. I'll eventually toss on a 1-4x scope when I have the funds. Until then I'll run her with irons. PSA kit and Anderson lower.

A couple questions. I do not have much experience with AR type rifles. What was your estimated build cost? Also, how does it shoot?

The kit (with MP rear sight) and lower cost me just north of $450. I bought the fixed stock tube, buffer and stock for $50. Had the PG and traded for the M4 style guards. The carry handle is a surplus GI I found at KC shoot for $50. I could have had it up and running for $450 but I always got to mess with things. The parts from the kit I didn't use, I will use on another build so it evens out in the end.
