    Because I'm not much of a rifleman, especially not a familiar with "EBR" stuff...

    What's the advantage of having the light that far back of the rail? Wouldn't you get a better throw by having the light farther forward?

    I put it there because I grip the rifle around the mag well and I can reach it easily, as soon as I find a vertical grip I like I will move it forward.

    Deary, you have more guns than me, and you have a promise to keep :)

    An M&P 15-22 would be a fine way to start. And on that subject, what kind of accuracy can you get with an M&P 15-22? Is it squirrel getter accurate?
