Here is what i picked up today: RiA 1911. I went with the Matte Nickel finish two tone. I was torn between the Parkerized finish and the Nickel Matte. For those that say a post is worthless without pictures, here you go....

you will always remember what year you got your 1911- on the 100th anniversary! Sweet :<)
Good point. There are certain events in my life that I will always remember:

    1. Where I was when Reagan was shot: 5th grade class

    2. Where I was when the Challenger exploded: Study hall

    3. Where I was on 9-11: Working in the operating room in the middle of surgery.

    4. Where I was when I bought my first 1911: Cloud Nine.

    Hey Flyer,

Beautiful, she really is. Is that a wide body? can you give us a round about price?

    Thanks

I can't say it's a wide body as it hold 8 +1 single stacked. I paid more to get the Nickel Matte finish so I paid $531 which includes the taxes and transfer fees. The price of the RIAs have gone up.

    You're going to like it!

I just picked up a parkarized RIA 1911 mil spec... and now I am considering another.

The problem with 1911s is that once you have one you want more.

Nice purchase. I've enjoyed the heck out of my Rock. It's always been accurate and reliable. Mine is a parkerized compact that looks and feels like a battle implement. I would not mind picking up a prettier one someday. I'm sure you'll really like that one.
