    Congrats. I have one just like it. It just keeps on going boom when you pull the trigger. Never had a round of any kind hang in it.

    I did buy a pair of wood grips, didn't like the feel of the plastic ones. I took some latex flat black paint and rubbed on the wood so you get the black color but can see the grain then sealed with a rub on polyurethane. Looks much better!

    Damnit guys... I'm just about to get my vehicle paid off and I was seriously considering *not* blowing that next "freedom" check on a firearm... It only took about 4 seconds for you jackals to crush my resolve!

    i seen a very pretty colt 1911 but it was about 1300 bucks. is it the brand colt or just the 1911 that cost so much

    Colts are usually on the high side.

    There are some great lower end 1911s out there. Rock Island Armory is one such firearm. Auto Ordnance is another. S&W has some great entry level 1911s too.

    Do some research and keep your eyes open.... there are good guns at good prices to be be had.
