Looks pretty good for a cell phone pic.. of course, the phones nowadays have more megapixels than my first digital camera did..

I miss my SKS - one of these days I'll get my safe in and then I can get my long guns out of secure storage..

NICE!gun! I love my AK and hope to love my VZ58 when I get her.... Theres just a level of Sexyness in The SKS. The way it feels, love the simple safty, laminated stocks or hard wood, the accuracy with a big punch. And lets not forget the folding bayonet. And with a pocket of ammo on stripper clips It will reload faster than most simi auto riffles and without the weight of mags alowing you to carry more ammo. I love mine! Cant ya tell? lol Have fun man!

I believe it's a Norinco. From what I was told it came out of a collection and wasn't fired much at all. It needs a good thorough cleaning before I shoot it. I need to pick up the front sight tool, a good cleaning kit, and the bayonet parts.

Tapco has a good cleaning kit with a sight tool. REALLY nice stocks too. Here's mine with the Tapco T6, crappy scope mount which is no longer on it, Tapco 20rnd mag, and front vert Grip.

If you can get one off the pull through chains... They are used to keep there non chrome bores clean. I found it works better than a cleaning rod on everything. Cleaning rods can damage a barrel if not used right.

    P.S. that russian is sexy.

Yep, it's got the hole in the back of the stock that houses the cleaning kit. And yes, one of those ammo cans would be nice. :D

Sorry I missed your phone call Chris. I'm at work and typing between guests.

I *might* have some free time on Tuesday. When are we gonna take it down to Dad's?
