My new water treatment system for my well

What does the UV do?

Kills most of the things that might make us sick from the water. Bacteria and virus for the most part. The prefilter reduces the size of the items that get into the UV filter to boost its effectiveness.

I got a buddy who put one of these in his little fish pond thing in his yard.......he is amazed how clean it keeps it. He us to have a small fountain but algae and moss still took it over. He swears it stays clean now.

I installed it...... I wanted to maximize venturi spin. Horizontal is slightly less and I want to destroy as many bacteria and viruses as possible.

Yes

before some colliform bacteria in the water-stuff growing in the culture. After the system was installed, no growth in the culture. I guess it works.

Sorry to resurrect a 6 year old thread, but I'm needing some water treatment advice. I know it's been discussed on INGO before and a search turned up this thread.

So, after 6 years, what's the experience been with a UV system?

Better yet, does anyone have suggestions for reputable and knowledgeable water treatment companies in south central Indiana? I need someone who sells more than just water softeners.
