    I've recently listened to Dan Carlins Hardcore History series called Blueprint for Armageddon. It's all about WWI. Good to put some pictures, modern and old, of the palces he was discussing.

    Me too! I think of all the horrors of that war, Passchendaele is the one that just leaves me in awe.

    Fitting bump for Veteran's Day, November 11th, that marks the end of WW1. :patriot:

    I visited some US cemeteries in the region, both from WW1 and WW2.In belgium and northern France.
    I think the largest WW1 cemetery in the region, the Meuse-Argonne American cemetery has over 14,000 graves.
    And that's just one single cemetery.
