I could feel it but I wasn't hurting at least after one magazine. I can say after one magazine the barrel was pretty hot and the handguard was almost hot. So I think the rumors you hear about this rifle are true it gets hot extremely fast. I thinks its a shooter though. It's a handsome little bugger too.

There is something about it. it feels so much more refined than an AK. Its tighter and has a better trigger. Although I put a g2 in my Saiga and its a dream now.

I heard it described in car terms once... It's like a Yugo (inexpensive) that was made by Mercedes (quality). I do wish they took standard AK mags. I've got a dozen though, so that should last me a bit.

No problem! It does make a big difference in the looks and feel of the rifle. You can also double the price of the rifle in a hurry by the time you're done!

It really is a shame that VZs aren't super common these days. They are more or less a refined AK/SKS hybrid
