N.I.C.S. down again?

Friendly neighborhood FFL called today to say my lowers were here.
I went in to pick them up. Filled out the 4473 and handed it over along with my drivers license.

FFL makes the call and says "Now that's weird. Never had that happen before."
He said the call immediately rang busy.
He said he has never gotten a busy signal before today.
He called a half dozen times over the next 15-20 minutes while I stood there waiting.
Each time the call rang busy.

He told me he would keep trying today, but it might be tomorrow.
I told him no big deal, but it got me wondering if anyone here has gotten a busy signal, over, and over, and over...

I figured it's probably just phone lines down, but he said he tried to do it online and it wouldn't connect.
He called me later to say he found a different number to call the A.T.F. but when he tried that number, no-one answered.

Anyone else have trouble today completing a background check?

I don't call in anymore. I used the eCheck this afternoon about 4 and it worked just fine.

I also used E-Check this afternoon and had no issue.

Called this morning and got through immediately.
I'm sure it was a cell tower kind of thing.

I don't know if he just renewed his license or what, but his online account needs to be set up again.
Moot point now.
