It started 12-15 years ago when a buddy convinced me that even cheap coffee beans tasted pretty good when ground fresh. From there to sourcing green beans, to roasting techniques, to grinds and blends and brewing, etc.

Icing on the cake is that the learning curve has resulted in a way to store coffee long term without it losing flavor. Coffee has the best flavor in the first week or two of being roasted. The flavor is at peak when ground right before brewing.

Is it cheaper? Maybe I am ready to change

"National Coffee Day"? Wasn't there just "National Beer Day"?

When's "National Water Day"? or gin day, or tequila day... let's get all my beverages a holiday.

And why do we need a day for these things? I'm going to drink just as much coffee (and beer!) no matter what.

Having a day for coffee is like having a day for meth - we're addicts, we get our smack whether it's celebrated or not.

Two cups of Cafe Bustelo today. :coffee:
